When entering elevator tickets, the gross amount is removed from the storage location, while the net amount is removed from the remaining contract amount; in my view, this makes sense. However, the bar graph on the dashboard that compares inventory to contracted amounts is comparing a gross inventory amount to a contracted net amount, which is somewhat misleading.
If the user was able to include an estimated dockage % for each storage location (or better yet, a general estimated dockage % for each crop type as an option that auto-populates the estimated dockage for storage location based on crop type in that location), they would be able to have a better representation of what they have left to contract. Additionally, when entering a harvest activity, the yield is likely coming from a grain cart scale/going into storage locations as a gross amount, but then the selling prices for net amounts from contracts are used on those gross amounts for profitability. An estimated dockage for each crop type taken into account here would provide better resolution for this as well.
