The goal is to make the user experience much better when entering records where the only difference is the date. On the main activity page (after a bulk entry) you should be able to quickly change the date alone without having to reopen the records individually. Or perhaps after entering all the information (say its 15 planting records of the exact same information besides the date) there is another page where you can adjust/confirm dates for each individual field before completing the bulk activity entry. It is currently cumbersome to have to reopen dozens of records just to adjust the date.
